Today, Wednesday, the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that an Iranian delegation arrived at Riyadh, in preparation for reopening of the embassy in the capital, Riyadh, and the consulate in Jeddah.
Nasser Kanaani, spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, said that the delegation consists of two groups, one of which is heading to Riyadh to inspect the Iranian embassy, and the other to Jeddah for the necessary measures to reopen the Iranian consulate.
Kanaani stressed that his country is seeking to reopen its embassy and consulate before the Hajj season.
Regarding the Saudi delegation that is currently visiting Iran, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said: "The Saudi technical delegation will head to Mashhad tomorrow, Thursday".
