On Sunday, Iran unilaterally canceled entry visas for Qatari tourists to its territory. The decision, announced by the Iranian Ambassador to Qatar, Ali Saleh Abadi, will come into effect starting from Monday, February 5th.

Ambassador Abadi described the government's decision to abolish entry visas for Qatari nationals as a "crucial step towards expanding areas of cooperation and enhancing mutual tourism, which serves the interests of both countries," according to the Iranian news agency IRNA.

This move is expected to foster stronger ties between Iran and Qatar, promoting tourism and facilitating travel for Qatari citizens visiting Iran.

It signifies a significant development in the relations between the two nations and may lead to increased cultural and economic exchanges soon.
