Iran has ranked among the world’s top ten countries for infertility treatment, underscoring its growing prominence in advanced reproductive medicine and assisted fertility care, according to Pars Today, a partner of TV BRICS.
Iran’s Scientific Association for Infertility and Reproductive Health said that it now operates at a level comparable with leading international medical systems in both the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
All major assisted reproductive technologies, including advanced in vitro fertilisation and related procedures, are widely available across Iranian medical centres.
Health officials said Iran’s global standing is reflected not only in its clinical expertise and research output, but also in rising demand from international patients seeking fertility treatment. Over the past decade, Iran has increasingly positioned itself as a regional and global hub for reproductive medicine, attracting patients with its combination of highly trained specialists, strong success rates, competitive pricing and short waiting times.
The sector has also strengthened its resilience through domestic production of key medical supplies and treatment materials, reducing reliance on imports and supporting continuity of care amid external pressures.
Experts say the development further reinforces Iran’s role as a leading destination for infertility treatment and assisted reproductive services in the Middle East and beyond.
