Egypt's Interior Minister Mhamou Tawfik received on Sunday his Albanian counterpart Pledar Choshi, who is currently visiting Cairo, as part of a high-level ministerial delegation headed by Edi Rama, Albanian Prime Minister (PM).

At the outset of the meeting, the Albanian Minister expressed his appreciation for the role played by the Egyptian Ministry of Interior agencies in counter-terrorism and illegal immigration fields, as well as its success in overcoming all obstacles and challenges it faced during the last period.
He also affirmed his country's keenness to boost cooperation between both countries in a number of security fields of common concerns.
On his part, Tawfik praised the strong and deep relations between Tirana and Cairo, which clearly reflected in various sectors.
