Tasnim News Agency reported that indirect talks between Iran and the United States are scheduled to take place on Friday in Muscat.
According to the agency, the discussions will be limited to Iran’s nuclear file and the lifting of sanctions imposed on Tehran. The talks are expected to be attended by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and US President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said earlier that Tehran is carefully reviewing the possible framework of the talks, with sanctions relief at the forefront. He said Iran is prepared to address concerns related to the peaceful nature of its nuclear program, while insisting that the removal of sanctions remains a central demand.
