In a major boost to its national defense capabilities, India has successfully developed a cutting-edge radar system capable of tracking fifth-generation fighter jets equipped with advanced stealth technology.

According to reports from the Navbharat Times, this new "anti-stealth" radar marks a revolutionary shift in India’s air defense infrastructure. The technology utilizes passive coherent location (PCL) radars, specifically engineered to counter low-observable aircraft and stealth platforms that traditional radar systems often fail to detect.

The "Sudarshan Chakra" Vision The development is a cornerstone of the "Sudarshan Chakra" defense initiative, a strategic program announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The project aims to establish a comprehensive multi-layered defense shield by 2035, protecting major Indian cities and critical strategic installations from sophisticated aerial threats.

Strategic Border Defense This technological breakthrough complements India’s existing high-tech arsenal. Since 2018, India has been integrating the Russian S-400 Triumf air defense systems under a $5.43 billion contract. With three regiments already deployed along the borders with China and Pakistan, the addition of indigenous anti-stealth radar provides a critical layer of domestic security, ensuring that even the most advanced enemy aircraft cannot bypass Indian airspace undetected.

Defense experts suggest that the integration of PCL technology will make it nearly impossible for enemy fifth-generation fighters to "trick" or evade India’s monitoring systems, solidifying the nation's position as a growing superpower in military technology.
