India sees record daily increase in Coronavirus deaths

Data from the Indian Ministry of Health revealed on Wednesday that the country registered a record number in the daily Coronavirus deaths during the past twenty-four hours as 3,780 deaths were recorded bringing the total number of deaths to 226,188.

This record increase in deaths in India comes a day after the total number of Coronavirus cases in the country exceeded 20 million, becoming the second country to reach this number after the United States, according to Reuters.

The ministry data added that 382,315 new cases were recorded today, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Indian government is facing demands for a strict lockdown to curb Coronavirus and prevent the spread of the pandemic.
