Suresh K. Reddy, Ambassador of India to Egypt, stated that the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to Sharm El-Sheikh, is of great importance, noting that India attaches great significance to the strategic partnership with Egypt.
This marks the first strategic dialogue, which comes shortly after the successful peace summit in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The Ambassador congratulated Egypt for its leadership in achieving this historic milestone.
Moreover, Reddy affirmed India’s full support for Egypt and its allies in rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
He recalled that India has maintained a strong, principled stance on Palestine, being among the first non-Arab nations to recognize it in 1988, adding that financial assistance, numerous projects, and capacity-building programs have been provided to Palestine.
Furthermore, the Ambassador expressed India’s commitment to working with the international community to restore peace and support the Palestinian people’s aspirations for an independent state.
