Ajit Gupte, Ambassador of India to Cairo, praised the development of bilateral relations between his country and Egypt, especially after President El-Sisi's visit to India last January, which was followed by many visits by the Indian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense, as well as raising the level of relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership that was signed during the visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the celebration of the 77th anniversary of India's independence, Gupte said that his country enjoys a good economy, as it ranks fifth in the world, and added, "I expect that within 7 or 8 years India will be one of the largest countries in the world economically.
Gupte stressed that the bilateral relations are witnessing development, especially in the field of economic and military cooperation between the two countries, pointing out that there are many Indian companies wishing to invest in Egypt and establish joint projects, especially in the field of chemicals and the automobile industry
