At least 15 people were killed, while more than 60 others were injured, in a traffic accident that occurred in the state of Madhya Pradesh, central India, after a truck collided with three buses that were parked on the side of the road.
The Indian broadcaster ABB reported that the accident occurred on Friday in the Siddhi district of Madhya Pradesh state, killing 15 people and injuring 61 others.
The report added that between 60 and 70 passengers were on board each bus.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced that compensation will be paid to the next of kin of the deceased, amounting to $12,000, $2,400 for those seriously injured, and $1,206 for people with minor injuries.
