NXT Women's Champion Indi Hartwell relinquished her title, early Wednesday, after sustaining an injury during her triple threat match against Roxanne Perez and Tiffany Stratton, last week.
WWE's developmental system revealed that the brand will organize a tournament for crowning a new champion.
Since the beginning of this year, the NXT Women's Championship is in a mess, after Perez, surprisingly, defeated Mandy Rose to capture the title.
Shortly, NXT Chief Shawn Michaels made a tournament for selecting six superstars to compete in a Ladders match for the NXT Women's title in Stand and Deliver.
Hartwell won the match and captured the title.
The 26-year-old star was officially called up for Monday Night Raw in the recent WWE Draft.
