Meghan Markle has reportedly told her close friends that quitting the royal family is "the best thing that could ever happen" to Prince Harry .

It's also alleged the Duchess of Sussex, 38, said her husband's "spirit was being crushed" and her love for him has made their new life possible.

Earlier, Prince Harry, 35, was seen stepping off a plane in Vancouver late on Monday night as he headed back to his wife and eight-month-old son Archie, following soem royal duties in London.

Meghan's friend claimed to the Daily Mail: "She said that like her, his spirit was being crushed and she simply couldn't stand to see him suffer anymore.

On the other hand, Prince Harry will have to endure a particularly personal loss as he steps down as a "senior" royal - the loss of his military titles and appointments.

The royal family had earlier brokered a deal about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's future split, which dictates Harry to lose his official military appointments.

According to "Mirror", these official military appointments include Captain General of Marines, Honorary Air Commandant Royal Air Force Honington, and Commodore-in-Chief of Small Ships and Diving.

He and the Duchess of Sussex will also lose their appointments as Commonwealth Youth Ambassadors.

In addition, It is from Spring, that Harry and Meghan Markle will no longer be working members of the Royal Family, officially represent the Queen or use their HRH status.

The Sussex pair will also no longer receive public funds for their work and will return the Sovereign Grant funds used for refurbishments to their Windsor home Frogmore Cottage last year.

The couple will keep their private patronages and are expected to remain President and Vice President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust.

Prince Harry has often appeared at his happiest when serving in the army or spending time with fellow veterans.

During his military career, Harry, known as Captain Wales by his comrades, spent 10 years in the army during which time he undertook two operational tours of Afghanistan and qualified as an Apache helicopter commander

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Meghan 'may never return to UK' as Frogmore Cottage staff have reportedly been axed.

Sources said that staff at the Duke and Duchess's Windsor home are reportedly being moved to other royal households as the couple plan their move to Canada.

A source said: "There is a skeleton staff there [at Frogmore Cottage ] all the time, consisting of one cleaner and a house manager. Others work as and when needed. "The workers are already being offered other roles at Buckingham Palace."

At least two permanent employees – a house manager and a cleaner – are reportedly being moved to other duties within the Queen’s household.
