President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has returned home after visiting Kuwait on Thursday to extend sincere condolences on the passing of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
On Wednesday, Sisi sent a congratulatory telegram to His Highness Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for taking the reins of power as new Emir of the State of Kuwait.
"Sisi wishes the State of Kuwait and its people ultimate peace and progress and lasting prosperity," Rady noted.
According to Rady, the President, on behalf of himself and the people and government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, wishes His Highness Crown Prince Nawaf Al-Sabah the best of success in continuing the efforts of construction and development achieved by the late Sheikh Sabah.
The President also confirmed the strong and long-standing fraternal ties binding the two countries, stressing that he is looking forward to more bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the two peoples and in order to serve the causes of the Arab and Islamic nations.
