Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stated that she came to Egypt to express her appreciation and respect for President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people.
In a joint press conference with Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouly, She highlighted that Egypt has adhered to measures aimed at growing its economy and committed to increasing job opportunities, especially for young people.
Moreover, Georgieva noted that Egypt has strengthened its social protection programs, with an increase in growth rates and a decrease in inflation, which now stands at 25% but is expected to decline to 17%.
She added, "Egypt has become more resilient in a world marked by shocks, and my message to the Egyptian people is that I am confident you will see the benefits of these reforms through a more prosperous and growing economy."
