The Cabinet's Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) released on Wednesday a new edition of the "Contemporary Economic Horizons" publication on the "green economy" issue.
The publication highlights the importance of adopting the "green economy" notion in different countries, in addition to spotlighting its indexes and expectations, IDSC said.
According to IDSC's latest publication, Egypt developed the 2030 sustainable development strategy to outline an effective roadmap to attain sustainable development goals.
It also noted that the government gave greater importance to the transport sector, whose total investments are estimated at 307 billion Egyptian pounds in 2022/2023.
The government announced its action plans to have 40% of all public investments as green investments, which would amount to 336 billion Egyptian pounds in Fiscal Year 2022/2023, it added.
