Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein affirmed that Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan share a strong alignment in their visions regarding critical regional issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

In his remarks at a joint press conference alongside Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty and Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Hussein emphasized the unity of stance among the three nations during a trilateral coordination meeting held within the framework of the Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism.

"The discussions covered various aspects of the trilateral relationship, and addressed regional crises affecting several Arab countries and the means to respond effectively," Hussein said.

In the same connection, the Iraqi Foreign Minister revealed that the talks helped prepare the groundwork for the upcoming trilateral summit scheduled for this Saturday on the sidelines of the Arab League Summit.

During the meeting, the three sides also reviewed and discussed the draft of the final communiqué expected to be issued at the summit.

The Tripartite Cooperation Mechanism among Iraq, Egypt, and Jordan has been a platform for regular diplomatic engagement and coordination on political, economic, and security matters impacting the Arab region, especially amidst ongoing tensions and humanitarian concerns in Palestine.
