Heavy rains have caused severe flooding in southern Germany, prompting authorities to evacuate more than 600 residents from their homes.

Local media reported that continuous rainfall led to rising water levels in numerous rivers, resulting in widespread flooding in coastal cities and towns.

In response to the situation, the German Meteorological Service issued the highest level of weather warnings for several areas in the southern part of the country.

German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser stated that 520 volunteers from the Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) are actively working to transport people to safety, secure rock barriers, and pump out water.

The German army is also supporting relief efforts by distributing blankets, camp beds, and additional supplies.

Due to the flooding, train services between the Bavarian capital Munich and Bregenz in Austria, as well as Zurich in Switzerland, have been canceled.

The emergency services' swift response aims to mitigate the impact of the floods and ensure the safety of the affected residents.

As the situation develops, continuous efforts are being made to manage the disaster and provide necessary aid to those in need.
