How to Get Music Scholarship in UK in 2019

Are you a passionate student of music? Do you have a special talent in it? If you want to develop your musical talent and meet your favorite artists, you can apply for a scholarship at Bournemouth University in England 2019, to study music.

About the University:

The University of Bournemouth (BU) is located in the coastal city of Bournemouth, in Dorset, on the southern coast of England. It dates back to the early twentieth century, with the establishment of Bournemouth Municipal College, which became Bournemouth University in 1992.

Currently, the university offers more than 150 degrees and more than 100 master's and doctoral degrees.

Music Scholarship details:

Scholarships will be awarded for the first year of study in the music discipline, and may continue for the following years but on the condition of meeting the necessary criteria.

Scholarships are regularly reviewed and the University reserves the right to withdraw, modify or offer new scholarships at any time.

Also, the scholarships are awarded in the first year only.

Awards and Conditions:

There are two types of music scholarships available from the University: a Grand Prize of £ 1150 and a Minor Prize of £ 450.

Grand prize:

Prerequisites: The learner will need to reach Grade 8 of the Associated, Trinity, or LCM board, or equivalent, in the main instrument or sound.

In addition, the learner needs to show that he or she has an academic foundation in music, and has passed A, C or higher or passed the grade of 8 in Music.

Moreover, the learner has to present a plan of how he wishes for musical and academic development. If the student is approved he will be invited to take a test. If he receives a scholarship he will be notified within two weeks.

Minor Award:

Secondary prizes are available if the student misses the prerequisites for the grand prize. The student will need to achieve the eighth grade in the first year and will be eligible for a grand prize in the second year, where he/she is expected to contribute to the musical life of the university by performing in concerts and participation in at least one university band.

Eligible Applicants:

Any student from the UK, EU or international who is applying for a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree at the British University.

He must be able to prove that he is a gifted musician or singer with a history of musical activities.

Application Deadline for programs that will start in January is November 30, 2019.
