The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather will prevail in Cairo and Lower Egypt during Friday's daylight hours.

Moderately hot weather is also expected to prevail in the North Coast, while the south of the country will experience scorching conditions.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, Canal Cities, Central Sinai, and North Upper Egypt.

Wind speeds of between 30 and 35 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to occasionally occur in most parts of the country, stirring sand and dust in the Red Sea government and Upper Egypt.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate to turbulent waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.5 meters in height varying between westerly and northwest surface winds.

Maritime navigation is also expected to be disrupted in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Suez, with winds averaging 40 to 50 km/h and waves ranging between 2: 3 meters.

Moderate weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 33°C in Cairo, 25°C in Alexandria, 27°C in Marsa Matruh, 42°C in Sohag, 44°C in Qena, and 44°C in Aswan.
