Hot Weather Hits Egypt on Tuesday, Cairo 29°C

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) predicts hot weather will prevail in most parts of the country during Tuesday's daylight hours.

Extremely hot weather is also expected to prevail in South Upper Egypt.

The country also witnesses mist, extending into fog, on the agricultural and highway roads from the north of the country to Cairo, Canal Cities, North Upper Egypt, and Central Sinai.

Meteorologists also predict that Egypt will continue experiencing experience a gradual rise in temperature, with the heatwave expected to peak beginning in the middle of next week.

Wind speeds of between 30 and 35 kilometres per hour (km/h) are expected to affect much of Cairo, Lower Egypt, North Coast, with dusty winds occasionally occur in El Salloum, Siwa, and Marsa Matruh.

Furthermore, the Mediterranean Sea will experience moderate waves, ranging between 1.5 and 2.25 meters in height varying between northeast and southeast surface winds.

Waves in the Red Sea will be moderate, ranging between 1.5 and 2.25 meters in height varying between northeast and northwest surface winds.

Moderately cold weather is also expected to prevail in Egypt at night and in the early morning.

The predicted temperatures for the following cities are 29°C in Cairo, 27°C in Alexandria, 26°C in Marsa Matruh, 34°C in Sohag, 36°C in Qena, and 36°C in Aswan.
