Early Wednesday, both Hamas and Israel confirmed a four-day ceasefire and the first deal of hostage exchange.

50 hostages will be released from Gaza in the exchange of 150 Palestinians who are imprisoned by Israel.

The deal also included a free entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza, and the freedom of moving from the south to the north of the strip.

In an official statement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, the authorities announced that 50 women and children will be released.

"Israel's government is committed to return all the hostages home. Tonight, it approved the proposed deal as a first stage to achieving this goal," the statement added.

In the same context, Hamas said the 50 hostages would be released in exchange for 150 Palestinian women and children.
