Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Chamber, presented the Scientific Competence and Social Responsibility Award to Dr. Hoda Yassa, President of the Union of Arab Women Investors, on Wednesday.
The honor was granted during the "Social Responsibility of the Private Sector and its Role in Sustainable Development" conference, held Jan. 14-15 at the Qatar Chamber headquarters. The event is organized in collaboration with the Arab League and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
Sheikh Khalifa emphasized that corporate social responsibility has become a vital pillar for economic growth. Dr. Yassa, who also serves on the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs, is participating in the conference's primary sessions, focusing on integrating sustainability principles into Arab family-owned businesses. The gathering aims to enhance the private sector’s contribution to regional sustainable development goals.
