Many leaked e-mails related to former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed her close relation with Qatari Al-Jazeera TV network and how she had used it to spread chaos in the Middle East, according to media reports published on Saturday.
Those e-mails were revealed after US President Donald Trump recently announced the declassification of all documents related to federal investigations concerning Hillary’s use of a private server for government emails.
According to one of the e-mails, Hillary had visited Al-Jazeera in May 2010 and met with the network’s director back then, Waddah Khanfar.
She met with the channel’s board of directors afterwards, they discussed and arranged a visit for a delegation from the TV network to Washington in mid-May 2010.
These meetings were crowned by a meeting with the former Prime Minister of Qatar, Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani.
In another e-mail, Hillary requested Qatar to finance the so-called Arab Spring revolutions through a fund dedicated to the Clinton Foundation.
Another leaked e-mail dated September 2012 revealed that Qatar helped the "Muslim Brotherhood" group to establish a media channel with large investments, after the terrorist organization complained about the weakness of its media institutions.
Other e-mails had shown Hillary's coordination with Al-Jazeera regarding Washington's hard-line stance towards former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak during the January 2011 demonstrations.
An e-mail sent by Al-Jazeera to US under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public affairs Judith McHale, was revealed also, according to Al-Ain.
This e-mail is dated back to January 29, 2011, the day on which former US President Barack Obama sent a message in support of the demonstrations in Egypt against the late former President Mubarak.
It stated: "My dear Judith: I congratulate President Obama for his principled stance on Egypt. I hope that he will continue in this direction in these critical days ahead. We renew once again our interest in conducting an appropriate interview with him. Frankly, there is no alternative. Sincerely."
McHale forwarded the e-mail to Clinton with the phrase, "For your information, I think we should frame this."
The US president announced this month that Hillary’s messages had been declassified, writing on Twitter: “I have authorized the complete declassification of all documents relating to the greatest political crime in American history, the hoax of Russia, In addition to the email-scandal of Hillary Clinton."
The case is related to Clinton, handling government emails while she was secretary of state from 2009 to 2013.
The Democratic candidate in the 2016 US presidential election used a private email server at her New York home to handle State Department messages.
She handed more than 55,000 e-mails to US officials investigating the matter, but she concealed another 30,000 letters, saying they were personal and not related to work.
