At least 17 people were injured, mostly children, as a school bus overturned earlier today Wednesday near Al-Remaya square, Giza, according to the health ministry.
In an official statement, the ministry spokesman Khaled Megahed added that the injured were taken to al-Haram hospital to receive the necessary treatment and care.
"All the injuries range from bruises, abrasions, and body fractures," Megahed noted, adding that only two cases admitted to the intensive care unit; a 6-year old student and a 35-year old bus supervisor.
It is worth mentioning that, the school bus belongs to a private school in Awsem city.
The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
