Health Min. Sends Message to Citizens after Omicron's Emergence

The Egyptian Ministry of Health said that wearing a mask, physical distancing, washing hands, and getting a vaccine, are the first wall of defense in preventing and limiting the spread of COVID-19.

Yesterday, Friday, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that the Ministry following around the clock the pandemic situation in Egypt and the world, especially after announcing about the emergence of a new mutant of Covid-19 called "Omicron".

He pointed out that the Ministry is also evaluating all procedures and measures continuously, according to the developments in the epidemic situation of Coronavirus in the world.

The minister stressed that getting a vaccine is still the main tool to prevent severe cases and deaths caused by infections with COVID-19. He noted that Egypt is working hard to vaccinate a greater number of citizens, with priority given to groups at high risk.

The minister stated that Egypt was able to provide all the anti-Coronavirus in a short time the anti-Coronavirus vaccines. They included Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Sputnik, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, and Moderna, as part of the country's plane to persify and expand on the benefits of responding to the pandemic situation.

The ministry of health and population called on citizens to register on the Ministry website to get vaccines against COVID-19.
