Renowned Egyptologist Dr. Zahi Hawass lectured at the temporary "Ramses and the Gold of the Pharaohs" Exhibition in Paris.

The exhibition is a touring one and will visit two states in the US after the end of the Paris one.

In his lecture, Hawass called for the return of Dendera's Zodiac, which is now displayed at the Louver, to its home once again.

He also demanded the placing and removal of Champollion's statue at Collége de France because it mocks Egyptian culture and history. The statue depicts Champollion standing and placing his feet on the head of Ramsses' statue.

Hawass highlighted that Egypt appreciated the French Egyptologist's role in history and named one of the Egyptian streets after his name.

The exhibition received a huge number of visitors in the earliest two stations in the tour. The first station was from November 20 to May 23 in Texas, and from 20 August to January 22 in California.
