TikTok: Haneen Hossam Declared Innocent, Mawada El-Adham's Imprisonment Suspended

On Tuesday, the final round of Egyptian TikTok Stars: Haneen Hossam, and Mawada El Adham was concluded. The Economic Appeals Court declared Hossam as innocent, and all the accusations of calling for prostitution were dropped. Also, it dropped the sentence of imprisoning Mawada El Adham. However, it approved the issue of paying a 300,000 LE fine for each.

Previously, both names stirred a matter of controversy on social media as many of the Egyptians called for accusing them, while others supported them.

Both used to upload various entertaining videos on the TikTok application which were later described as improper visual material.

Moreover, they were accused of calling under-aged girls for having more open relationships with men and establishing a chat room between girls and boys.

Furthermore, both girls founded a company for adminning their social media activities to have more profit.
