Handball: Al Ahly Announce Daniel Gordo as New Manager

Al Ahly have officially announced Spanish head coach Daniel Gordo as the new head coach of the men’s handball team.

The Red Devils have recently been suffering as they lost the Egyptian Handball League to arch-rivals Zamalek.

As a result, previous head coach Tarek Mahrous was dismissed from his position alongside his coaching staff.

Following the dismissal decision, Al Ahly announced former Brazil national team coach Daniel Gordo as the successor.

Gordo has previously worked with Brazil national team, Spain’s CB Nava, and Belarus outfit Meshkov Brest.

His first trial leading the Reds will be against Zamalek as the two sides will be clashing for the African Super Cup.

The Spanish coach’s technical staff will include Ahmed Salem, Hesham Abdelwehab, Khaled Osman, Mohamed Ibrahim, Mostafa Naguib, and Ahmed Mohamed.
