Hamas Leader Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Yahya Sinwar, a leader of the Hamas movement in Gaza has tested positive for Coronavirus, the Palestinian movement announced on Tuesday.

According to Palestinian media, Hamas said that the 58-year-old Hamas leader, "despite being infected with the virus, he is practicing his work according to safety and preventive measures."

Sinwar has been head of the political bureau of the "Hamas" movement in Gaza since February 13, 2017.

Earlier today, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah announced the registration of 16 deaths, 2536 new cases of Coronavirus, and 1032 recoveries during the last 24 hours, in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.
