Hamas Confirms Readiness to Transfer Governance of Gaza to Technocratic Committee

Hamas said on Wednesday that it is ready to fully transfer governance of the Gaza Strip to a Palestinian technocratic committee, stressing that the handover process is prepared and can be implemented immediately.

Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said in press statements that detailed protocols, completed files, and supervisory committees are already in place to oversee what he described as a “full transfer of authority” in Gaza to the national technocratic committee.

“There are prepared protocols, finalized files, and committees supervising the handover process so that we are facing a complete transfer of governance in the Gaza Strip to this national committee,” Qassem said.

Call for Full Reopening of Rafah Crossing

The Hamas spokesman also emphasized the need to fully reopen the Rafah Crossing in both directions, without what he described as Israeli restrictions.

Qassem stressed that freedom of movement into and out of Gaza must be guaranteed, adding that the crossing should operate normally without any Israeli obstacles.
