Negotiations between Israel and Hamas in Cairo ended without any notable progress, as both delegations left the Egyptian capital on Sunday evening following another round of talks aimed at establishing a ceasefire in Gaza.

According to reports from Sky News Arabia, the Israeli delegation departed after a round of negotiations that failed to yield any significant advancements. Similarly, the Hamas delegation also left Cairo after meeting with Egyptian and Qatari officials to review the outcomes of the most recent discussions.

Sources close to the negotiations revealed that the Hamas delegation reiterated their demands for the implementation of agreements reached in July, which were based on U.S. President Joe Biden's statements and a United Nations Security Council resolution. The Hamas representatives emphasized the movement's readiness to fulfill the agreements in a manner that serves the interests of the Palestinian people.

Furthermore, the Hamas delegation insisted that any future agreement must include a permanent ceasefire, a complete withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the right of residents to return to their homes, provisions for humanitarian aid and reconstruction, and a serious prisoner exchange deal
