Antonio Guterres, Secretary-General of the United Nations, said that UNRWA contributes to alleviating the suffering of millions of refugees, stressing that it represents the way to provide life for civilians in Gaza, indicating that he supports the mobilization of the international community to support the agency, Al Qahera News channel reported.

He added during a press conference: " We hope that the countries that decided to stop funding UNRWA will review their decision," noting that the results of special investigations will be published regarding what was raised about the involvement of UNRWA employees in the October 7 attacks.

The Secretary-General of the United Nations continued: “The ceasefire is very necessary in the Gaza Strip and must not be linked to the issue of releasing hostages,” stressing that carrying out any military operation in the Palestinian Rafah will lead to a humanitarian catastrophe.
