US President Joe Biden is set to deliver an "important speech" on the Russia-Ukraine war on Saturday, after arriving in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland, where he will meet Polish President Andrzej Duda, the Guardian, a daily British newspaper.
Biden and Duda are expected to discuss Warsaw's desire to increase US forces to support NATO's eastern flank, as well as the idea of an international peacekeeping mission proposed by the leader of Poland's ruling party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski. "Very reckless."
On the other hand, US officials said on Friday that Russian forces in Ukraine appeared to have halted their ground offensive aimed at capturing the capital, Kyiv, and focused on taking control of the Donbas region in the southeast.
