Hours ago, Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dandeneau asserted that his country rejects the Turkish Memorandum of Understanding with the Fayez Al-Sarraj government in Tripoli, Libya on demarcating maritime borders.

"It cannot even be an issue of bargaining. What is illegal, does not really exist," Dandeneau added, in a series of tweets on his Twitter account.

The Greek Foreign Minister stressed his country's awareness of Turkish bids to achieve gains in favor of the Erdogan regime, and that the Greek government rejects these attempts and will not accept them and will not even take them for bargaining.

With regard to immigration, he stressed that the next review of the European common asylum system must be based on a fair distribution of responsibilities and obligations, and that the rule of law, democracy and human rights is the meaning of the union, and the applicants for membership  - in reference to Turkey - must be fully aware of this.. "it is a prerequisite To join the European Union," he said.

He pointed to the failure of Turkey to seize the humanitarian suffering of the refugees to obtain compensation from Europe, saying: "Such a tactic is unacceptable, neither by Greece nor of course by the European Union."

However, Greece always supports dialogue and understanding with all countries, on one basic condition: that this dialogue take place on the basis of law, the rules of international law, and the rules of the law of the sea.

"The dialogue will not take place under threats, extortion or daily violations of our sovereignty," said the Greek foreign minister.

He added that his country has done what is necessary to protect its sovereign rights against violations of its sovereign rights and the Republic of Cyprus.

And he added: "I explained and repeatedly said that our borders have become completely clear to everyone, any attempt to violate our legal rights will be answered in an appropriate manner."

Turkey and leader of Al-Wefaq government in Tripoli Fayez Al-Sarraj, signed last November an agreement in which Al-Sarraj granted Turkey's right to demarcate the maritime border, while Cyprus and Greece, which it considered an infringement of its sovereign rights.
