Grant Gustin to Star in Indie "God Of Tides"

Grant Gustin (The Flash) has signed on to star in "God of Tides," an indie inspired by the true story of world-class freediver and spear fisherman Virgil Price III.

Campbell Scott (House of Cards), Rainey Qualley (Green River Killer), and Elias Koteas (Chicago P.D.) are also aboard for roles.

Written by Maria Topete and Cruz Angeles, who also directs, God of Tides follows Virgil (Gustin), once a promising musician, now at a crossroads, haunted by alcoholism, failure and fractured family relationships. 

Determined to reinvent himself as a competitive free diver, he is drawn to the depths of the ocean as a sanctuary from his inner turmoil. 

But the ocean is unforgiving, and as he plunges into the world of freediving, he faces not only the physical challenges of the sport but the harrowing depths of his own psyche.

Scott plays Virgil’s father, Big Virgil, with Qualley as his sister Ash, and Koteas as his sobriety guide Walker.

"God of Tides" is produced by Virgil Price II of Sterling Productions (Don’t Let Me Drown, Lovely, Still), Jamin O’Brien, and Ged Dickersin.

Best known for his leading role in The CW’s "The Flash" and for his role as Sebastian Smythe in "Glee", Gustin's film credits include Krystal and Affluenza. 

He also made several crossover appearances on Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl.
