His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, extended his deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the Republic of Iraq, its government and people, for the victims of the horrifying fire that ripped through a wedding celebration in the Northern Nineveh province, which led to hundreds of casualties and injuries.
He also wished a speedy recovery to the Injured and offered his sincere condolences to the families of the victims.
The blaze that took place in a wedding ceremony left behind at least 100 dead, and 150 injured.
