Gold prices rose by about $22, or by 1.1%, on the global stock market during the last week, so that the ounce recorded $2,003.
Saeed Embabi, Executive Director of the iSagha platform, said that gold prices in local markets rose by 24 pounds during Saturday’s trading, bringing the price of a gram of 21 carat gold to about 2,790 pounds.
He added that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded 3,189 pounds, a gram of 18 karat gold recorded 2,392 pounds, while a gram of 14 karat gold recorded about 1,860 pounds, and a gold pound recorded about 22,320 pounds.
