Gold Prices Increase, 21-Karat at EGP 978

Gold prices rose slightly in the local markets during trading today, Tuesday, with a slight increase in an ounce price in the global stock exchange, backed by the decline of the dollar price by 0.5%.

Said Imbabi, Executive Director of the “i-Sagha” digital platform of gold and jewelry online trading, said that gold prices rose by about EGP4 during today’s trading in the local markets, as the 21-karat gold gram recorded EGP 978.

He added, that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded EGP1118, a gram of 18 karat gold recorded EGP839, a gram of 14 karat gold is sold at EGP652, and a pound of gold recorded EGP 7824 .

In a related context, the price of an ounce of silver in the global markets rose by 0.4% to record $18.75, and in the local market, a gram of silver caliber 925 carats is sold at EGP 12.
