Egypt's Gold prices rose by about EGP 2 by the end of trading on Saturday to record EGP 687 per gram for the 21 karats compared to EGP 685 by the end of Friday's trading.
According to Nady Naguib, the secretary of the gold pision at the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) that the 21 karats is witnessing a fluctuation in prices between EGP 1-2.
Naguib added that the rise of gold prices was a result of the hike in the prices by about $7 an ounce.
Amid price volatility and uncertainty in the future of the yellow metal, the ounce recorded $1,517 on the global stock market.
While the dollar prices are declining in the domestic market, limiting the successive gold price gains, the 21 karats recorded EGP 687 per gram, pushing the 24 karats at EGP 787.
However, the 18 karats dropped to EGP 586 per gram, while the 8g gold coin recorded EGP 5,498.
