Gold prices fell in the Egyptian market by EGP 6 in conjunction with a drop in the price of the ounce in the global market to the level of $1704, according to Ehab Wasef, deputy head of the gold pision at the Chamber of Commerce.
Wasef said on Tuesday, that the 24K recorded EGP 845, while the 21K reached EGP 742, and the 18K scored about EGP 634.
He pointed out that the price of the 8g gold coin registered EGP 5920, in conjunction with the decline in the price of an ounce in the global market to reach the level of $1704.
Globally, the yellow metal prices fell by about $ 12 during Tuesday's trading as some countries start to ease restrictions of closures, despite the decline in risky assets and the continued fears of a global recession.
