Gold Prices Stable in Local MArkets, 21 Karat Records EGP 2, 355

The gold prices stabilized on Saturday, in domestic markets, coinciding with the global exchange's weekend break.

Eid Youssef, head of the Gold Division at the Menoufia Chamber of Commerce, stated that gold prices have stabilized at the beginning of the day's transactions compared to Friday's transactions. 21 karat gold recorded EGP 2355, while an ounce on the global exchange remained steady at USD 1948.

Youssef added that 24-karat gold stood at EGP 2692, while 18-karat gold hit EGP 2019, and 14-karat gold reached at EGP 1570. The gold pound was registered at EGP 18840.

Meanwhile, gold prices fell by EGP 5 in the local markets during Friday's transactions. A gram of 21 karat gold started transactions at EGP 2360, reached EGP 2380, and closed transactions at EGP 2355. The ounce decreased by USD 30 on the global markets, opening transactions at USD 1978 and closing the week at USD 1948.
