Doha Jewellery Exhibition to Kick off This February

The activities of the 19th edition of the Doha International Jewellery and Watches Exhibition will be held from February 20 to 25, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.

The exhibitions include about 500 brands from major gold and jewellery companies and give visitors an opportunity to view the latest jewellery collections and meet the most prominent experts and designers of jewellery and watches.

Among the local exhibitors are the Alfardan Jewellery and Jewelry Group, as well as the high-end brand Damas, and for the first time the participation of the “Louis Vuitton” jewellery house, and the presentation of the “Fantasy necklace”, which weighs about 2.56 carats of diamonds.

The exhibition will also witness the return of the Turkish and Indian pavilions.

With regard to Qatari jewellery designers, the return of the Qatari designers initiative of Qatar Tourism, including the papillon brand, is owned by designer Nora Al-Ansari.

This year, more than 30,000 visitors from all over the world are expected to see the latest collections that will be presented by major leading brands during this year's edition of the exhibition.

The exhibition will be held this year in an area covering over 33,000 square meters.

Through these events, Qatar aims to diversify its local economy and encourage Qatari brands that have emerged in recent years.

The exhibition is also one of the means taken by the Qatari government to stimulate tourism in the country after exhibitions have become an important industry and a source for promoting goods and products and stimulating domestic tourism in the Gulf region.
