Gold Prices Stabilize, 21-Karat Hits EGP 2340

The gold prices stabilized Wednesday, in domestic markets, regardless of the decline of the ounce internationally. due to the rise of the US dollar.

The latest decline was driven by the rise of the US dollar, after the latest statements of the US Federal Reserve on the interest rates, and the release of more data on the US economy.

Amir Rizk, a member of the gold division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, said that gold witnessed a stable performance in domestic markets.

Rizk added that the gram of 21-karat reached EGP 2340. On the other hand, the gold ounce dropped by $3 to record $1957.

He highlighted that the gram of 24-karat recorded EGP 2674, 18-karat hit EGP 2006, and 14-karat was sold at EGP 1560.

Finally, the gold pound reached EGP 18720.
