Egyptian actress, Ghada Adel faced legal trouble over her new film "Mummies Group".
Producer Mohamed Rashidi filed a complaint at the Giza Police Department against Adel for her hindering the shooting schedule.
The papers were sent to the Public Prosecution to conduct an investigation.
Rashidi accused Adel of repeated absence from the shooting without an acceptable excuse leading to the shooting to postponed more than once.
The company excluded her from the project to complete shooting due to the film being slated to screen in early 2023.
No actress has been selected to play Adel's part and star opposite Ruby and Reem Moustafa.
Principal photography began last September.
Filmmaker Amr Salah directed the film from a script by Ehab Blaybel and Ghada Abdel Aal.
The film follows a parents' WhatsApp group for school that brings together three mothers from different social classes.
It follows Maryam and Nadia (Ruby and Ghada) who have bad relations with their children and find help from former Miss Egypt (Moustafa), who decides to help them get closer to their children.
