WhatsApp announced new user-friendly features to enhance the user experience, including multi-section, emojis, expiring groups, and more.
Multi-selection
The messaging platform is launching a new "multi-selection" feature for messages on Windows beta.
As per WABetaInfo, beta users can now select multiple messages within a conversation and then choose to delete or forward them all at once on WhatsApp for Windows.
New Emojis
WhatsApp is rolling out additional 21 new emojis to some beta testers for Android.
Push Name Within Chat List
Meanwhile, this feature will enable users to see push names within the chat list instead of the phone numbers every time they receive a message from an unknown group member.
The tool will make it easier for the users to get who the unknown contact is without any need to save the number as a new contact.
New Text Editor
The Meta-owned messaging platform is also working on a new text editor for its drawing tool.
You will be able to change text alignment to the left and center, in addition to the background color
Expiration Groups
WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to specify an expiration date for groups in the iOS beta version of the app.
The new option will be available within group info, according to WABetaInfo.
Mute Calls
A new feature called "silence unknown callers" will let users mute calls from unknown numbers while still displaying them in the calls list and the notification center is reportedly being developed in WhatsApp.
Other advantages will be included, such as reducing interruptions and potentially avoiding spam calls.
