Germany welcomed Egypt's successful efforts to establish a cease-fire between the Palestinians and the Israelis.
In a statment, Media Center of German Foreign Ministry stressed the importance of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza, as well as existence of a lasting peace between Israelis and Palestinians that enables everyone to live in safety and dignity.
Moreover, it expressed its deep sorrow for the civilians who were killed, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
