Germany announced further arms supplies for Ukraine as part of the so-called “circular exchange.”

This statement was made by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz during the questioning of the government in Parliament on Wednesday.

The circular exchange means that Eastern European states provide Soviet-made heavy weapons to Ukraine, while Germany supplies them with modern counterparts.

The exchange allows the easy use of Soviet-made weapons by Ukrainian soldiers in comparison with Western equipment.

Russia started its military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin described his goal as “to protect people who were subjected to genocide by the Kyiv regime for eight years”.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, as of March 25, the armed forces have completed the main tasks of the first stage, significantly reducing the combat potential of Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed that Moscow does not plan to occupy Ukrainian territory and that the goal of the operation is to protect people who, for eight years, have been subjected to persecution and genocide by the Kyiv regime.
