German Finance Minister Christian Lindner announced on Sunday, that Germany expects to provide financial aid to Ukraine amounting to 5 billion euros, ($5.44 billion) annually.
Germany is considered one of the largest European countries supporting Ukraine since the start of the Russian military operation, and has said that it will continue to provide support as long as needed.
Last May, Berlin announced military aid to Kiev worth 2.7 billion euros, in a package that included tanks and drones.
