German ChancellorOlaf Scholz said that the world is currently facing the climate change crisis, stressing: "confronting this crisis represents an urgent necessity because what we have seen at the beginning of this year of floods in Brazil and Pakistan indicates that these events speak in one language, and we must strive to reduce the temperature by 1.5°C in the future.
During the high-level session on the sidelines of the Petersburg dialogue, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the German chancellor stressed that what Egypt had done in the previous period, including implementing the express train, is a good thing for the green transformation, "At the beginning of this legislative period, we started ambitious plans in Germany based on reducing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gas emissions."
He pointed out that a secure future must be provided for future generations by facing climate changes.
"What we are witnessing over the past 30 years in Africa and Asia confirms that we have nothing to do but a green transformation of energy in order to create a better life by turning to clean energy sources instead of the usual and fossil ones."
