Georgia’s Secretary of State’s Brad Raffensperger office opened an investigation into former president Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the election results.
Walter Jones, a spokesman for Raffensperger’s office said, "Secretary of State office investigates complaints it receives," noting that the investigation process aims at "detecting facts and resolving administrative affairs."
“Any further legal efforts will be left to the attorney general," he added.
Raffensperger's office has received repeated calls to open such an investigation after Trump was recorded pressuring Raffensperger during a telephone conversation they had on January 2 to overturn election results.
